The Future

KLLD club is a never-ending party for new ideas and projects. Here, we outline our areas of interest and where we could go next. Nothing is set in stone but rather a mindmap of potential added value that we can bring to our KLLD holders.

Dynamic Art

After our initial mint, we will start with our next phase. We believe that the future of NFTs will be more than just sitting in your wallet. It should be shared and used with other guests. The dolls will be able to interact with each other and you will be able to personalise them to your liking. This is one of the pillars of our project. More info on the next phase coming soon.

The Cigar Lounge

A special area where our guests can sit back, relax and enjoy the freedom to brew new ideas. It’s the perfect place to bounce ideas off of each other and find out what could be in store for KLLD. We pride ourselves that KLLD will be run by the community for the community and that the core team will take up its role as gatekeepers.

Club Constitution

This is a safe haven for the lost souls, the weird and the wonderful. The club is an establishment where our guests come first. It cannot thrive without the ideas and involvement of our guests.

The Studio

The studio is our place where guests can look over Katy’s shoulder and join in on the creative art experience. We devote our time and energy to let the art shine through and we believe in quality over quantity.

The Pink Wall

The KLLD club is full of creatives, out-of-the-box thinkers and artists of all levels. We’re creating a Pink Wall where featured artists can step into the spotlight. We want to empower our guests to bring value to the community. We want to give them the chance to create something new with the support of the KLLD team and community.

The Pink Cross

We believe that people who work in the sex industry should get all the support they deserve. And we’re fully aware that the reality can be hard for them. We want to be a community that is more than just trying to deliver a message, we want our actions to speak louder than our words. That’s why as part of our commitment to the empowerment of women and sex work, we will donate a part of the sale to charity.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.Margaret Mead

The Shrine

The KLLD club is a temple where the weird and wonderful are praised. It’s a place of mutual respect regardless of appearances, occupation, heritage, or country of residence. We believe that staying true to yourself is the highest form of self-love and should be celebrated. They do what they love regardless of what society thinks of them and our dolls are a tribute to that!

Our Dolls

The Love Lost Dolls are made up of 8 trait categories:
Body, headpiece, back, top, bottom, feet, hand object, and background.
There are many traits within each category which offer a tremendous number of doll possibilities. Once our dApp is live you’ll be able to swap and change traits to construct your unique doll.

Our dApp

What if you would be able to change and personalise your NFT after minting?
We developed a concept that you’ll be able to undress (deconstruct) and redress (construct) your doll using our dApp.
Within the dApp, you'll be able to visualise your doll by playing around with all the available traits in order to find the perfect traits for your desired look.
Deconstructing your doll would mean that all the different traits, e.g, headpiece and hand object traits like a whip and hat, will be separated from your original doll NFT. They will become separate NFTs in a completely different smart contract (the 2nd collection). These are all tradeable which enables you to freely trade your traits.
You can then buy, sell, and exchange traits with fellow collectors via our dApp and other marketplaces to own the traits you desire. Once you’ve found the traits you want for your doll, you’re able to easily re-construct her with a few simple steps via our dApp. You can also decide to leave out certain traits to build a minimally dressed doll too.
There will be some form of gamification. As well as, some hidden treasure hunts, but we’ll leave that to the imagination of the community to figure out what those will be…

FAQ

>What pre-sale mechanism will be used?

When you write smart contracts, there are multiple ways of tackling the presale and what we've decided is we’re going to use sign tickets. We will sign a small piece of data for everyone on the Pre-sale Guest List with an elliptic curve signature¹. That small piece of data will be their wallet address, combined with how many mints they're allocated during the pre-sale. That will be an input parameter to the mint process. This guarantees us that the correct person is minting, but also avoids a lot of gas costs by having huge lists of addresses hardcoded in the smart contracts.

We will keep track, within the contract, of how many mints a particular wallet address completed, to make sure that everything is fair.

>Where will the art be stored?

IPFS² - The InterPlanetary File System is a peer-to-peer hypermedia protocol designed to preserve and grow humanity's knowledge by making the web upgradeable, resilient, and more open.

>What will be the art format? And why?

SVG³ - Scalable Vector Graphics

JPEG or PNG will also produce a quality image, but you can't scale it infinitely. We believe that Katy's artwork is of such quality, that many collectors will potentially want a print/poster of it too. Or they may want to zoom in on certain details and so with SVG you can scale up, scale-out, and have very high-quality prints. This allows you to really appreciate the details and the love that went into her artwork.

>Will there be a reveal?

Yes. If you’ve minted an NFT before you’ve probably already seen this. But, during our initial mint, you will mint unrevealed dolls. Then at a certain point, we will reveal all the dolls.

>What will I see when I mint an unrevealed doll? And why?

The initial image everyone will see will be a special piece of artwork, which is sort of your entry ticket into the Love Lost Club. Then, when we reveal, we will point to the actual artwork and the actual metadata.

The main reason why we do this is to perform a fair launch for everyone. We really want to protect the community from very technical people that have the ability to manipulate the minting process and that's something we can totally avoid by using the ‘reveal mechanism’.

Otherwise, people that have very technical skills will start digging around on IPFS, reading the contract and trying to target the mints, in order to get a very rare item out of the collection.

We really care for the community and to have a fair and equal chance when it comes to minting our dolls, so that’s why there will be a reveal.

We are dropping daily sneak peeks and more dolls so that the community have a feel for what their dolls will potentially look like.

No reveal exploit

This is definitely possible and a lot of projects in the past have suffered from this, some really big project projects. E.g, Meebits, is a very famous project, but initially, they put all their information out there without a reveal. They were open to an exploit⁴.

People reverse engineered a lot of information and were able to write scripts to scoop up very rare Meebits. Their launch was far from being fair.

In the community, we learn from these mistakes and accidents and we look to avoid them in the future. A launch should be as fair as possible. You shouldn’t gain an advantage over other people who are interested in the mint just because you have the technical skills and know-how.

>What is the dApp concept? And how does it work?

You will mint a doll and as with lots of other collections, once you have your NFT, that's your NFT.

But, what if you would be able to change your NFT afterwards?

We came up with the concept that you’ll be able to undress (deconstruct) and redress (construct) your doll using our dApp.

We're working on a really cool dApp experience where you'll be able to visualise your doll. You’ll be able to play around with all the available traits in a very visual way.

Deconstructing your doll would mean that all the different traits, e.g, headpiece, hand object, top and bottom traits like a; skirt, whip, hat, will be separated from your original doll NFT.

They will become separate NFTs in a completely different smart contract (the 2nd collection). These are all tradeable which enables you to freely trade your traits.

You can then buy, sell, exchange traits with fellow collectors on our dApp to own the traits you desire. Once you’ve found the traits you want for your doll, you’re able to press a few buttons in the dApp to re-construct your doll. Also, you can decide to leave out certain traits to make a minimally dressed doll if you wish.

E.g, If you didn’t want your doll to be wearing a hat, then you can easily deconstruct her and then reconstruct her without the hat trait.

Your doll on the original contract will be then dressed with the traits you selected. This enables you to personalise a completely unique doll to your own style.

You don’t have to worry about the complexity of these two contracts as everything will happen for you.

There will be some form of gamification. As well as, some hidden treasure hunts, but we’ll leave that to the imagination of the community to figure out what those will be…

There will be a series of hints, and maybe if you're good at spotting the hints, you’ll find out that there is something special also happening with your doll.

>How do the two smart contracts work?

From a smart contract perspective, we have two collections. The main collection is the dolls and when you deconstruct your doll it will stay in the doll collection. All of your traits are going to a second collection which is in the trait collection. They’re all tradeable, so these two contracts are interacting with each other.

When you deconstruct your doll we are going to create and mint all of these traits in the second collection, and vice versa when you decide to reconstruct your doll. The dApp will pass the necessary information between the two contracts to either create, mint, or burn traits.

We consider the doll collection as the master collection and the traits collection more as a utility collection. Both will be tradeable. Both will be visible on all major platforms, e.g, OpenSea, Makersplace, LooksRare or any of your other preferred platforms.

Everything will be ERC-721⁵. A general standard with NFTs but there will be two collections. There will be an interaction between the two collections, which is currently quite unique.

If you’re a technical individual, we invite you to have a look and study our contracts because we're quite proud of what we've designed.

>How do I setup MetaMask?

MetaMask is a free to use browser extention and mobile app that allows you to interact with the Ethereum Blockchain.
You can send and receive crypto coins and ... buy NFT's !

Check out this YouTube video that shows how to set it up.

>How do I mint a Love Lost Doll?

How to mint a Love Lost Doll

A step by step guide.
To mint you will need:
  • An Ethereum based crypto wallet (MetaMask is the preferred wallet)
  • Enough Ethereum in the wallet for the mint price + gas (gwei)
Steps:
  1. Go to our Mint website.
  2. Click on ‘connect wallet’ to be able to interact between your address and the minting contract (Double check the URL is correct).
  3. Click on the ‘mint’ button and click ‘approve transaction’ in metamask (Always double check if you are dealing with the correct smart contract!)
  4. After the blockchain transaction is confirmed, the token will be in your wallet.
You will be able to see it on NFT marketplaces like Makersplace or OpenSea (Please be aware that transaction confirmation can take some time when a large number of people are minting simultaneously).
Tips:
  1. If you can’t see your NFT on an NFT marketplace like OpenSea, you can check the transaction on etherscan. It can be that there is a delay on the OpenSea side, that the transaction didn’t confirm yet or that your transaction didn’t work (minting sold out for example)
  2. If the project is sold out, always cancel your transaction to avoid unnecessary gas fees, you can do this in MetaMask.
